Hello friends, Hot fun in the summertime..literally. It is officially summer this week-end and we are feeling it here in So Cal. I am excited about a new writing project that I just started recently with a fellow L.A. musician.

Adopt-A-Minefield has extended the online "Night of 1,000 Dinners" charity event. What this means is that you can still download the Fireman (Paul McCartney and Youth) electronic music collaboration through June 19th. When you contribute 25 U.S. dollars to Adopt-A-Minefield you get a free download of the previous unreleased track "Lifelong Passion (Sail Away)," an e-mail thank you written by Paul, and get access to chef Jamie Oliver recipes. Just go to www.paulmccartney.com and follow the link to the event.

More information about the music:  Youth consists of artists Fluid, Apple Tree Cinnabar Amber, and Bison Long One.  Highlights from the Fireman "Rushes" album were used as the musical accompaniment to the Paul McCartney "DRIVING" World Tour opening act which was inspired by the great Cirque Du Soleil.

Hello my global friends, This has been kind of a stressful week for me, but I am fine after a hit and run car accident last Wednesday. The great news is that I have continued to work on "The Fun Show" video (based on my CD "Adventures In Wanderland") and will soon be collaborating with a new music partner… does that mean a new music project? Well, I have been doing a lot of writing for a while, so stay tuned. This week there was also a cool online version of the "Night of 1,000 Dinners" charity event which took place to benefit Adopt-A-Minefield and features a new exclusive Paul McCartney Track called 'Lifelong Passion' along with a menu by chef Jamie Oliver. Paul's event raises money for Adopt-A-Minefield's efforts to restore non-productive land from minefield destruction, assist victims of landmine blasts, and raises awareness of the global problem which affects numerous countries in conflicts and kills and injures tens of thousands of people including children every year. I have participated in the N1KD events in past years with live events which I co-produced in Indianapolis, Indiana with associates at the non-profit called Olive Branch Society of which I was president from 2003 to 2006. This virtual event is still going on. Go to www.paulmccartney.com no later than June 12th. Here is more information: Any registered guest who has donated a minimum of $25.00 USD to Adopt-A-Minefield will receive a special thank you from Paul McCartney - access to a one-time only exclusive download of a previously unreleased track 'Lifelong Passion'. This special Paul McCartney track, 'Lifelong Passion', is a track Paul recorded under the name The Fireman, the result of collaborations between Paul McCartney and respected producer Youth. They released two albums in the 90's and have been working on a follow up in recent months. More news to follow on this project but 'Lifelong Passion' gives you a taste of what is to come. The track, along with Jamie's recipes, will be available from 5th-12th June. Paul McCartney, who has been a committed long-term supporter and Goodwill Ambassador for Adopt-A-Minefield said, "The Night of a Thousand Dinners is not only a great way to raise money for a just cause, it's also a good way for friends and families to have fun together." He added, "With the growing concerns about world hunger, it should be a priority to clear arable land of landmines so that communities can once again use their land to grow their own food. Some music, some fantastic recipes from Jamie and hopefully, with your help, we'll be able to raise the much needed funds for the cause."

Hello my global friends! There have been a lot of great e-mails coming this week. Thank you all so much for the information, updates, insights, and nice greetings. I continually receive updates directly from humanitarians around the world concerning the developments and achievements in the assistance given to help stop the landmine problem around the world. The landmine crisis is a global problem which affects thousands upon thousands of people in up to 90 countries. Tens of thousands of men, women and children are injured and killed every year and many more are displaced from their homes. Let me know if you want to know more about this. Check out Madonna's new video "American Life" on You Tube about the American dream from her Rock Candy album if you haven't seen it.
